Fourth Element's Journey is Ending  ::  2.24.2008
What we are about to say here is very difficult. After 5 years and hundreds of shows our journey as Fourth Element has ended. Over the last several months we have put in a lot of time writing music and developing and creating a video. During this time we have experienced some internal creative differences and differing viewpoints on the direction of the band.

The past five years have been euphoric and we have had some amazing opportunities thanks to the support from Matt Davis, 98 Rock, DC101 and Frank Marchand. We also want to thank Dan Haight for a killer job in filling in as our 2nd lead guitar player over the past year. We have had some great times with the many terrific local bands we have shared the stage with. We want to thank our friends and families and first and foremost all of our fans. You guys have been incredible.

As for the future, Matt, Mike and Greg are working together on a new project. Adam will pursue some musical interests independently. A new song many of you have heard ‘One in the Sane’ has been recorded and the video is nearly completed. Both will be released as part of the new project. We will continue to maintain and update this website so please stay tuned for updates.

We have 2 remaining show that we are looking forward to. We would love to see as many of you who can make it out to these shows at TT Reynolds on Friday, February 29th and Fletchers on Saturday, March 8th. Help us celebrate the end of this journey. It has been an amazing ride.

Thanks to all of you and we will see you soon!

Greg, Matt, Mike and Adam

Mike, Greg, Matt and Adam would like to let everyone know that Jordan August is leaving Fourth Element. Jordan has been apart of the 4e Family for the past 4 years and we are all saddened by his departure. He will be missed by all. Jordan will be finishing the rest of the shows we have posted. He’s leaving on good terms and the rest of the guys are still very excited to keep the band going. There are a lot of good things going on, with the writing of new songs and the release of the DVD. Please try and catch the remaining shows.

Fourth Element will be going on a small hiatus to begin auditioning new guitar players. At this time, we will be taking offers to audition for rhythm guitar and back up vocals. Please email us here or at our email address for more details.

Melodic.net Review  ::  6.19.2006
Reviews:
Melodic.net 3 and a half stars. If I didn't know better,I would believe Fourth Element was a British band coz they have their own sense of making alternative metal/emo/rock. Balitmoore based 4E comes from the same musical backyard as Lost Prophets and A - as a matter of fact,this band should be picked up by U.K labels like Mighty Atom or Visible Noise. "Gravity" is an excellent track where they get so tastefully experimental but still with performed with the same energy as a powerplant.
4E released the 5 track EP "Now's the time" in 2005 and on this day,delivers their debut full length "Hello Shadow" which will be available for purchase through their website. Definitely for fans of:Days of Worth,3 Colours Red,Happylife and Key to Arson. Ohyeah,4E has done a great job with the production that is rich of nuances and dinosaur riffs - hard to believe,we're talking about an indie act! Their new single "Time does not run out"; is available for download at their website.
